Esta semana celebramos una nueva edici\u00f3n de nuestra Wellbeeing Week, evento organizado por nuestro equipo de Bienestar y Apoyo en el cual se festeja la convivencia, la diversi\u00f3n, el compa\u00f1erismo las diferencias y el SER LPV. This week, we celebrated a new edition of our Well-being Week, an event organized by our Well-being and Support team to promote coexistence, fun, friendship, diversity, and the essence of being LPV. Nuestros alumnos Jos\u00e9 Tom\u00e1s Posada y Mat\u00edas Galindo, en una acci\u00f3n pedag\u00f3gica, realizaron un taller sobre la empat\u00eda y el respeto con nuestros estudiantes de grado 4AA. Siempre hemos dicho que en el colegio “todos somos maestros”, por este motivo, reconocemos el trabajo realizo por ambos Seniors, quienes estuvieron acompa\u00f1ados de Salom\u00e9 Ospina, nuestra Coordinadora de Convivencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our 12 Track A students, Jos\u00e9 Tom\u00e1s Posada and Mat\u00edas Galindo, led a workshop on empathy and respect for our 4AA students as part of a pedagogical initiative. We have always said that at our school, “we all are teachers,”<\/em> which is why we recognize the work of these two Seniors, who were accompanied by Salom\u00e9 Ospina, our Coexistence Coordinator.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

En el marco de la Wellbeeing Week, dimos inicio a nuestros Juegos Interclases – Copa Colombia 2025. Esta semana tuvimos las ceremonias de apertura por cada secci\u00f3n y tambi\u00e9n iniciaron los primeros partidos de este torneo. Invitamos a las familias a dar CLIC AQU\u00cd<\/a> para consultar todo el fixture y de paso ver las fotos de los mejores momentos que nos dej\u00f3 esta primera semana de competencia. Les recordamos que tanto el fixture como la galer\u00eda de fotos, se ir\u00e1n actualizando seg\u00fan vaya avanzando el certamen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of Well-being Week, we kicked off our Interclass Games \u2013 Copa Colombia 2025. This week, we held the opening ceremonies for each section and played the first matches of the tournament. Esta semana, en la clase de Teor\u00eda del Conocimiento (TdC), los estudiantes de 11 Track B del Diploma tuvieron una actividad llena de reflexi\u00f3n y exploraci\u00f3n, en la que se sumergieron en el estudio de diversas religiones del mundo, estableciendo conexiones con los conceptos clave de TdC y situaciones del mundo real. M\u00e1s que un ejercicio acad\u00e9mico, fue una invitaci\u00f3n a cuestionar, analizar y comprender c\u00f3mo el conocimiento religioso interact\u00faa con otras \u00e1reas del saber.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week, in the Theory of Knowledge (ToK) class, 11th<\/sup> grade Track B Diploma students engaged in a thought provoking and exploratory activity. They delved into the study of various world religions, making connections with key ToK concepts and real world situations. More than just an academic exercise, it was an invitation to question, analyze, and understand how religious knowledge interacts with other areas of knowledge.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Exploring the World of Germs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Como parte de su primera unidad de indagaci\u00f3n del a\u00f1o, ‘Who We Are’, los estudiantes de Primero Track A exploraron el mundo de los g\u00e9rmenes. Aprendieron sobre su apariencia, forma y los lugares donde se encuentran, adem\u00e1s de observarlos de cerca a trav\u00e9s del microscopio. Esta experiencia les permiti\u00f3 desarrollar su sentido de responsabilidad y tomar decisiones informadas para prevenir la propagaci\u00f3n de g\u00e9rmenes y sus consecuencias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of their first inquiry unit of the year, Who We Are<\/em>, First Grade Track A students explored the world of germs. They learned about their appearance, shape, and where they can be found, as well as observed them up close through a microscope. This experience helped them develop a sense of responsibility and make informed decisions to prevent the spread of germs and their consequences.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Como es costumbre, esta semana tambi\u00e9n tenemos deportistas LPV destacados. En esta ocasi\u00f3n, el turno es para los tenistas Celeste y Manuel Orozco, quienes participaron en G3 de Armenia. Celeste qued\u00f3 campeona en sencillos – 18 a\u00f1os y campeona dobles – 18 a\u00f1os; por su parte, Manuel fue finalista en dobles – 14 a\u00f1os. Queremos felicitar a nuestros estudiantes, quienes siguen ampliando sus vitrinas de trofeos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As usual, this week we also have outstanding LPV athletes! This time, the spotlight is on tennis players Celeste and Manuel Orozco, who competed in the G3 tournament in Armenia. Celeste was crowned champion in the 18U singles and 18U doubles categories, while Manuel was a finalist in the 14U doubles category.
