Les informamos que, tras una emocionante jornada electoral, el estudiante Samuel Villa Mart\u00ednez del grado 12 Track A, candidato por la plancha 02, obtuvo la victoria sobre Sara Echeverry de 11 Track B (plancha 01 y quien ahora ser\u00e1 la presidente del Consejo Estudiantil), obteniendo as\u00ed la Personer\u00eda del Liceo Pino Verde para este periodo. Samuel, quien siempre estuvo acompa\u00f1ado de su equipo (Andrea Rodas, David Mej\u00eda, Isabella Arias, Mariana Osorio y Sof\u00eda Betancurt), se llev\u00f3 la mayor\u00eda de votos gracias a sus diferentes propuestas (CLIC AQU\u00cd<\/a> para conocerlas). Ahora, como personero, Samuel buscar\u00e1 ser un puente comunicador entre los estudiantes y las dem\u00e1s partes interesadas, as\u00ed como la voz de los alumnos en pro de valer sus derechos. Estamos orgullosos de ambas campa\u00f1as y estamos seguros que ambos candidatos har\u00e1n un excelente trabajo desde sus nuevos roles. \u00a1Felicitaciones!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

**We are happy to inform you that after an exciting electoral process, Samuel Villa Mart\u00ednez, a 12th-grade Track A student and candidate for Team 02, won the election againts Sara Echeverry from 11th grade Track B (Team 01 and who will now be the Student Council President), securing the position of Student Representative at Liceo Pino Verde for this term. Samuel, who was always supported by his team (Andrea Rodas, David Mej\u00eda, Isabella Arias, Mariana Osorio, and Sof\u00eda Betancurt), made the majority of votes thanks to his various proposals (CLICK HERE<\/a> to learn more about them). Now, as Student Representative, Samuel will work as a communication bridge between students and other stakeholders, serving as the voice of the student body to uphold their rights. We are proud of both campaigns and confident that both candidates will do an excellent job in their new roles. Congratulations! <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Nuevos t\u00edtulos llenan las repisas de nuestros deportistas LPV gracias a sus grandiosas presentaciones de los \u00faltimos d\u00edas. Comenzamos con Nicol\u00e1s Londo\u00f1o de grado 10TB, quien particip\u00f3 en la carrera \u2018Correr Salva Vidas\u2019 organizada por la Liga contra el C\u00e1ncer, logrando el primer puesto en la categor\u00eda de 16 a 19 a\u00f1os y el segundo puesto en la general. Cabe decir que Bruno Sanz Jimenez de 1ro Track A y los docentes Camilo Cuellar y Estefan\u00eda Bedoya tambi\u00e9n formaron parte de la carrera. En f\u00fatbol, el equipo LPV qued\u00f3 campe\u00f3n del torneo nacional Futuros Talentos, categor\u00eda 2014 celebrado en Viterbo, Caldas. La alumna Julieta Gonz\u00e1lez Fruchtnis de 10AA, obtuvo el segundo puesto en la categor\u00eda de damas 14-15 del Tour de Desarrollo de Golf realizado en el Club Campestre de Cali, adem\u00e1s gan\u00f3 el premio al mejor Long Drive del certamen. Por \u00faltimo, felicitamos a Danna Escudero, quien logr\u00f3 ser la campeona en sencillos y dobles de este Torneo de Tenis G4 categor\u00eda 12 a\u00f1os, representando a Risaralda en el Valle. \u00a1Ustedes nos llenan de orgullo!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

**New Titles Fill the Shelves of Our LPV Athletes Thanks to Their Outstanding Performances in Recent Days. We begin with Nicol\u00e1s Londo\u00f1o, a 10TB student, who competed in the Correr Salva Vidas<\/em> race organized by the Liga Contra el C\u00e1ncer, securing first place in the 16 to 19 age category and second place overall. It is worth mentioning that other participants, such as Bruno Sanz Jimenez from 1st Track A and teachers Camilo Cuellar and Estefan\u00eda Bedoya, also took part in this race. In soccer, the LPV team was crowned champion of the Futuros Talentos National Tournament (2014 category) held in Viterbo, Caldas. Julieta Gonz\u00e1lez Fruchtnis, a 10AA student, achieved second place in the 14-15 girls’ category at the Golf Development Tour<\/em> held at Club Campestre de Cali. Additionally, she won the Long Drive award for the tournament. Finally, we congratulate Danna Escudero, who became the champion in both singles and doubles at the G4 Tennis Tournament (12-year-old category), representing Risaralda in Valle. You all make us proud!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Esta semana se llevaron a cabo los Talleres PEP de Lectura y Escritura para apoyo en casa, espacios que agruparon a familias de grados de Little School y Primaria y que tuvieron como objetivo fortalecer el trabajo en equipo entre el colegio y los acudientes. Durante estas charlas, se compartieron estrategias pr\u00e1cticas para fomentar fomentar los buenos h\u00e1bitos de lectura y escritura desde los hogares. Agradecemos la receptividad mostrada por las familias y esperamos verlos nuevamente en otros talleres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

**This week, the PYP Reading and Writing Workshops for Home Support took place, bringing together families from Little School and Primary grades. These sessions aimed to strengthen teamwork between the school and guardians. During the workshops, practical strategies were shared to encourage good reading and writing habits at home. We appreciate the families\u2019 enthusiasm and engagement and look forward to seeing you again in future workshops!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Los estudiantes de 1ro Track A presentaron, como actividad sumativa de la unidad Who We Are, un festival llamado Wellbeing Festival. A trav\u00e9s de diferentes estaciones, compartieron lo que hab\u00edan aprendido, explorando temas clave como el lavado de manos, el cepillado de dientes, la alimentaci\u00f3n saludable, el ejercicio, el contacto seguro y la seguridad personal. Todo esto estuvo enmarcado en la idea central de c\u00f3mo nuestras decisiones afectan nuestro bienestar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

**The First Grade Track A students wrapped up their Who We Are unit with a special event: the Wellbeing Festival. Through interactive stations, they shared what they had learned, covering key topics like handwashing, brushing teeth, healthy eating habits, exercise, safe interactions, and personal safety. Everything was centered around the big idea of how our choices impact our well-being.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u00a1La hora ha llegado! Esta pr\u00f3xima semana se llevar\u00e1 a cabo nuestra VIII Edici\u00f3n del Modelo de Naciones Unidas del Liceo Pino Verde – LPVMUN. Durante los d\u00edas 12, 13 y 14 de marzo, nuestros chicos de Bachillerato de grados 9\u00b0 Track B, 10\u00b0 y 11\u00b0 de ambos tracks y 12\u00b0 Track A; adem\u00e1s de docentes, patrocinadores y dem\u00e1s colaboradores del colegio, recibir\u00e1n a diferentes integrantes de otras importantes instituciones educativas en nuestras instalaciones y, por supuesto, formar\u00e1n espacios enriquecedores, llenos de debate, reflexi\u00f3n y aprendizaje sobre temas coyunturales a nivel mundial. **The time has come! Next week, we will host the 8th Edition of the Liceo Pino Verde Model United Nations \u2013 LPVMUN. On March 12th, 13th, and 14th, our High School students from 9th Grade Track B, 10th and 11th Grades from both tracks, and 12th Grade Track A, along with teachers, sponsors, and other school members, will welcome participants from other prestigious educational institutions to our campus. Together, they will create enriching spaces filled with debates, reflection, and learning on key global issues. Additionally, we have a very special announcement coming next week!
