Nos alegra compartir con nuestra comunidad LPV que Jorge Alejandro Su\u00e1rez Zuleta asume el rol de Vicerrector del Liceo Pino Verde. Jorge ha sido parte de nuestra instituci\u00f3n por 8 a\u00f1os y se ha destacado por su compromiso, liderazgo y visi\u00f3n educativa. A su vez, el maestro Juan Pablo G\u00f3mez Cardona ser\u00e1 el nuevo Coordinador del Programa del Diploma (DP). Con 12 a\u00f1os de experiencia en el colegio y un profundo conocimiento del curr\u00edculo IB, Juan Pablo llega a esta posici\u00f3n con toda la preparaci\u00f3n y entusiasmo para continuar fortaleciendo el programa. \u00a1Felicitaciones a ambos por estos nuevos retos profesionales!

**We are pleased to share with our LPV community that Jorge Alejandro Su\u00e1rez Zuleta has been choosen as Liceo Pino Verde Vice Principal. Jorge has been part of our institution for eight years and has stood out for his commitment, leadership, and educational vision. At the same time, Mr. Juan Pablo G\u00f3mez Cardona will take on the role of Diploma Programme (DP) Coordinator. With 12 years of experience at our school and a deep understanding of the IB curriculum, Juan Pablo steps fully prepared into this new position and enthusiastic to continue strengthening the program. Este mi\u00e9rcoles 23 de abril vivimos una jornada m\u00e1gica en el Liceo Pino Verde, celebrando el poder de las palabras y la imaginaci\u00f3n. Desde picnics literarios hasta cuenter\u00eda, pasando por encuentros con expertos en literatura, nuestros estudiantes exploraron mundos fant\u00e1sticos, conocieron personajes inolvidables y dejaron volar su creatividad. \u00a1Gracias a todos por ser parte de este homenaje a los libros, los idiomas y la magia de leer! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

**This Wednesday, April 23rd, we experienced a magical day at Liceo Pino Verde, celebrating the power of words and imagination. From literary picnics to storytelling sessions and meetings with literature experts, our students explored fantastic worlds, met unforgettable characters, and let their creativity soar. Esta semana seguimos festejando el arte y la cultura, y esta vez el protagonista fue el teatro. Nuestros estudiantes vivieron una ma\u00f1ana llena de creatividad con actividades como artes circenses, improvisaciones, talleres pr\u00e1cticos y presentaciones teatrales. Fue una jornada para descubrir c\u00f3mo el teatro, como lenguaje universal, nos conecta con la diversidad, promueve la empat\u00eda y nos invita a ver el mundo con nuevos ojos. \u00a1Maravillosa expresi\u00f3n art\u00edstica! **This week we continued celebrating art and culture, and this time the spotlight was on theatre. Our students enjoyed a full of creativity morning with activities like circus arts, improvisation, hands on workshops, and theatrical performances. It was a day to discover how theatre, as a universal language, connects us to diversity, fosters empathy, and invites us to see the world through new perspectives. Las celebraciones no se detuvieron esta semana y cerramos con broche de oro con nuestro festejo del D\u00eda de la Ni\u00f1ez. Este viernes, grandes y chicos volvimos a conectarnos con la magia de la infancia a trav\u00e9s de una jornada llena de juegos, creatividad y sonrisas. Nuestros estudiantes participaron en estaciones tem\u00e1ticas y actividades l\u00fadicas que despertaron la imaginaci\u00f3n y el asombro. Los chicos vinieron disfrazados de sus personajes favoritos de cuentos y pel\u00edculas, crearon t\u00edteres con medias, y disfrutaron de cada momento con entusiasmo y alegr\u00eda. Fue un d\u00eda para celebrar la ni\u00f1ez en toda su esencia: libre, creativa y llena de sue\u00f1os. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

**This Friday, both young and old reconnected with the magic of childhood through a full of games day, creativity, and smiles. Our students took part in themed stations and playful activities that sparked their imagination and wonder. The kids came dressed as their favorite characters from stories and movies, created puppets out of socks, and enjoyed every moment with excitement and joy. It was a day to celebrate childhood in all its essence: free, creative, and full of dreams. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Nuevos logros nos comparten las familias de nuestros estudiantes LPV en diferentes disciplinas, los cuales les compartimos con orgullo. En tenis, Celeste Orozco Salazar, de grado 10\u00b0 del Modelo de Educaci\u00f3n H\u00edbrida – Semipresencial qued\u00f3 campeona en dobles en la categor\u00eda 18 a\u00f1os del ITF J30 celebrado en Cundinamarca. En golf,  Julieta Gonz\u00e1lez Fruchtnis del grado 9BA, logr\u00f3 el segundo puesto gross, quedando a tan solo 2 golpes del primer lugar en el Torneo Tour de Desarrollo de Manizales. En cuanto a equitaci\u00f3n, el alumno Emiliano Jim\u00e9nez Ospina de 1AA, particip\u00f3 en la IV v\u00e1lida nacional clasificatoria de equitaci\u00f3n de caballos de paso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

**We proudly share our LPV students recent accomplishments across different disciplines. In tennis, Celeste Orozco Salazar, a 10th-grade student from our Hybrid – Blended Learning Model, became doubles champion in the U18 category at the ITF J30 tournament held in Cundinamarca. In golf, Julieta Gonz\u00e1lez Fruchtnis, from grade 9BA, earned second place gross, finishing just two strokes behind the winner at the Torneo Tour de Desarrollo in Manizales. And in equestrian sports, Emiliano Jim\u00e9nez Ospina, from 1AA, participated in the 4th national qualifying event for Paso Fino horse riding. Congratulations to all for representing our community with talent and dedication.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Hoy los estudiantes del Programa de los A\u00f1os Intermedios (PAI) presentaron sus proyectos como parte del cierre de la Feria de la Ciencia. Durante varias semanas, aplicaron el m\u00e9todo cient\u00edfico para investigar temas de inter\u00e9s y proponer soluciones a problem\u00e1ticas reales. Cada propuesta evidenci\u00f3 un proceso riguroso de investigaci\u00f3n y permiti\u00f3 resaltar el compromiso, la creatividad y el pensamiento cr\u00edtico de los estudiantes. Adem\u00e1s, la exposici\u00f3n promovi\u00f3 el di\u00e1logo entre pares, docentes y visitantes, fortaleciendo habilidades clave como la indagaci\u00f3n, la comunicaci\u00f3n y el trabajo colaborativo. La jornada finaliz\u00f3 con una reflexi\u00f3n sobre el papel transformador de la ciencia en la sociedad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

**On April 25th, students from the Middle Years Programme (MYP) showcased their projects as part of the closing event of the Science Fair. Over several weeks, they applied the scientific method to explore topics of interest and propose solutions to real world issues. Each project reflected a rigorous research process and highlighted the students\u2019 commitment, creativity, and critical thinking. The exhibition also encouraged meaningful dialogue among peers, teachers, and visitors, strengthening key skills such as inquiry, communication, and collaboration.
